General terms & conditions


These terms apply to all products ordered from Lulu Mae Bridal Wear

1  Seller


1.1 The Seller is Lulu Mae Bridal Wear of 18  Langsett Road North Oughtibridge Sheffield South Yorkshire S35 0GX.


2 Order process

2.1 Our display of products in our Store is an invitation and not an offer to sell those products to you

2.2  An offer is made when you place the order for your products   However  we will not have made a contract with you unless and until we accept your offer (see point 2.5 below) 

Some goods ordered will be made for you and to your specifications  It is important that you appreciate and understand that this order is a legally binding contact 

2.3 A 50% Non refundable and Non-Transferable initial payment is required when placing any such order   this initial payment is taken as your conclusive acceptance of our terms  Any balance becomes payable after we inform you that your items are ready for delivery/collection

2.4 All goods ordered are done so specifically to each customers specifications given to us at time of purchase  therefore goods cannot be cancelled or exchanged and any outstanding balance will be required on delivery/collection

2.5 We take payment from you  when we process your order and/or have checked your card details  Products are subject to availability  If we are unable to supply the products  we will inform you of this as soon as possible  A full refund will be given if you have already paid for the products

2.6 If you provide us with a correct email address we may send you an order acknowledgement email and order update email(s)  These are not order confirmation or order acceptance from us

2.7 Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it  order acceptance and the creation of the contract between you and us will take place at the point the products you have ordered are acknowledged as being in production by the supplier or despatched by us  It does not take place until that stage  even though we may have taken payment or debited your card(see 2 3 above) or we have sent acknowledging emails (see 2 4 above)  Very occasionally an error may occur resulting in the products displayed in our store not being the products actually available for sale  If this occurs your order will not be or have been accepted  We may ask you whether you wish to purchase other products we may have available  If so your order will be amended  Otherwise  we will treat any order as cancelled and give a full refund

2.8 All orders that you place will be subject to acceptance in accordance with clause 2.5 of these terms and conditions

2.9  We do not file details of your order for you to access  please keep these terms and conditions and the order acknowledgement for your own record

3  Payment


3.1 Payment may be made by any method indicated by us

3.2 VAT is charged at the prevailing rate at the time and customers are not entitled to any discounts or VAT refunds

3.3 A delivery charge will be applied if you do not collect your goods in person  This will be agreed with you before despatch

3.4 Storage charges will be applied if the items are not collected promptly once your order is confirmed as ‘Ready for Delivery/Collection’

3.5 We do our best to make sure that prices are correctly shown but very occasionally an error may occur  We will not accept an order if there is a pricing error
Payment is due on presentation of invoice  Delay in payment may result in interest being charged on overdue amount
Your account needs to be fully paid with cleared funds prior to alterations or the release of any goods
Failure to pay for in full and collect your goods within 2 months and after suitable notification  will result in the loss of your initial payment and the re-sale of any items  After deduction of any outstanding balance and reasonable costs  any remaining balance will be returned to you

3.6 By paying your final invoice you are accepting that your goods have been accepted in a satisfactory quality and fit for purpose 


4  Delivery 


4.1 Most items are for in person collection only and once it is confirmed your 'Order Ready for Collection'; order details and proof of identity must be produced on collection 

4.2 Orders generally require a signature to acknowledge delivery  The signature of the person accepting the goods will be proof that delivery has been received by you  in an acceptable condition 


4.3 We shall have no liability to you in respect of any delay or failure to deliver a product due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control  including (without limitation) delay or failure caused by adverse weather  strikes or transport problems 


5  Cancellation

5.1 Orders that have been processed can not be cancelled and will not be refunded 

5.2 Because orders are processed as quickly as possible we can not allow a cancellation period  Most orders are processed within 48-72 hours  However  if you are able to contact us immediately following the submission of an order  before it is processed  we will do our best to help you with any cancellation issues

5.3 We reserve the right to cancel any order  at any time  for any reason  Orders can be cancelled if they can not be filled as requested in time for the wear date or if an item is no longer available for any reason 


6  Returns

6.1 We do not accept returns or exchanges on our special order (Dresses/Jackets/Overlays/Skirts/Tops) and clearance / sale items  All sales on these items are final  Returns or exchanges are not accepted due to incorrectly ordered items  dislike of style  fit  or colour  cancellation of event or any other reason 


7  Clearance section

7.1 The reductions shown are reductions from the original price charged in our store  Occasionally these prices may have applied more than six months ago 


7.2 Stock and sale goods are sold subject to the condition at the time of purchase  Please make sure you are completely happy with the goods as no refunds will be made as a result of that condition or changing your mind.

7.3 Any costs for laundering and or altering stock and sale goods are at the purchasers responsibility

8 General

8.1The reproduction of colours in our literature is as accurate as the photographic and production process will reasonably allow

8.1.2 The customer must make sure the correct size and length are ordered  Regard should be made to undergarments and shoes chosen to be worn with the gown  Changes to shoes and undergarments may affect the size and length required 

8.1.3 We cannot be held responsible if the customers size or body shape changes between the time of order and the time of delivery and/or collection due to weight loss/gain or pregnancy

8.1.4 All measurements are approximate  Please note that small amounts of tolerance up to 1inch in regards to size/length are not classed as faults and can occasionally happen  The hems of gowns with pick ups and/or frills  ruffles  pleating or layers may have slight dips and rises due to the nature of the design/manufacture and shall not be classed as a fault  


8.1.5 Colour swatches (or samples viewed) are only an indication of colour  not an exact match and there may be occasional differences in dye lots  Also note some garments may have irregular slubs within materials

8.1.6Samples are to be used as a guide only for style and detailing  Please note that many garments are hand made and actual garments ordered may have small differences to samples viewed

8.1.7 Most garments will require alterations as standard  We do not offer alterations services  You are responsible in finding and paying for an appropriate seamstress/dressmaker to undertake these alterations  


8.1.8 Third party services. We shall not be responsible for any services provided by a third party, whether or not such third party was recommended by us.


8.1.9 All risk in the products we supply to you  in particular the risk of any loss or damage  shall pass to you on delivery of the products to you or your representative  Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until we have received payment in full in respect of such goods

8.1.10 We shall not be liable for any indirect losses you may suffer  including any loss of profit  income or anticipated savings as a result of our failure to comply with these terms or our negligence  Save that our liability in respect of any death or personal injury caused by our negligence shall not in any way be restricted

8.2.0These terms  constitute the entire terms on which we will provide products to you and cancel and supersedes all prior arrangements and representations  whether verbal or written

8.2.1 We may amend these terms from time to time at our discretion without notice to you  Any amends will supersede any terms and conditions previously published by us

8 .2.2 No delay or failure by ourselves in exercising or enforcing any of our rights or remedies under these terms shall operate as a waiver of those rights

8.2.3 If any one or more of the provisions of these terms should be held by any court to be unenforceable  such provision shall be validly restated to as nearly as possible approximate the intent of the clause and  if such clause cannot be restated for any reason  shall be severable from these terms and deleted

8.2.4 You may not assign or sub-contract any of your rights or obligations under these terms to any person without our prior written consent  No third party shall be entitled to enforce any of these terms whether by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise

8.2.5 All matters concerning and incidental to any offer or agreement for the purchase and sale of products from our store shall be in English and construed and governed according to English law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in all such matters
